yes. my hand painted yarn is now called the halloween yarn. when i was winding it into a ball i went from loving it to falling in love with it.

seriously. i want to have that yarn's babies.

and my stitch markers are hard at work. i took a photo, did not work out. too small stitchies to show up. and i though, i could keep trying, or use it! i needed to use it. i was a little overstimulated. i swapped over the stitch marker that consisted of an old piece of cotton tied around the needle, with a beautiful, new, secret-pal-aurora- stitch marker. oh it's lovely and useful and beautiful. oh how i love stitchmarkers.

i am wearing my jacket today, and i feel smug and proud.
as well, i bought a new dress at lifeline for $9. a lovely, nonsensical red velvet thing. and, i got a garter off a book. yes. a book came, with a garter - the red thing that goes on your upper thigh - tied around it. the manager looked at it in horror and ripped it off. i quickly snatched it and put it on.
it's tight. and i'm pretty small. this is not a garter for the average australian women. i told this to M, the manager. he responded with 'no, its a garter meant to go around a book.'
