another amazing update
ok. what is new?
i am almost finished milanda from white lies designs. it is Beautiful, and i am astounded that, each time i go to bind off, i actually have the correct number of stitches. my knitting is really getting better. i am thinking very hard about what i should make with my handspun from divine-sp-6-aurora. what should i make? what? oh what? i was thinking a neck-cuff-y sort of thing, like a collar, turtle neck ... or a hat?
i have some LORNA'S LACE on the way to me at the moment, for knitting a hat for a friend. better yet, i did not pay for it! hurah!
my therapy is making me feel exhausted. this is why i am not online as much. it's relentless. however, it is for the best, and worth every cent, bla bla bla. just right now, i feel so tired, and heavy, and headachey and so on. dealing with things is hard.
i have a fungal infection on my scalp. gross. yes. very. they just look like little pimples, and they hurt like hell. and all this time i thought i was allergic to every shampoo known to mankind. ironically, my hair looks fantastic.
i am not use to having no money yet. i still feel sad come payday and there is barely enough to cover the rent. i also have an electricity bill and a phone bill staring at me at home. this sucks.
if anyone has stuff-up-free vegetarian recepies (looks at aurora with kitten eyes) i would be very greatful. however, i can cook a few things now. none particularily well. but edibly. it's getting there. i will be a functional adult soon. however i also fear iminent veganism after looking at the new peter singer book. oh well. veganism is not that hard. i don't have much dairy anyhow, due to the whole lactose issues, and i am not the biggest fan of eggies.
there is a band playing at rics tomorrow night which i would like to see - dizzygothica. my issue is with ric's. i hate the venue. i have ranted about this in the past. but. i wish the anti-smoking laws were in already! i wish the anti-rude moron rule was in existance in the real world. i would like to hear them, and i would like to hear them live. decisions, decisions.

i still have about three undelivered parcels. this is frustrating on several levels.

oh well. my red black lace top is getting fun and exciting, and there was a very cute child in the store. i was talking to her, and she reached up and pointed to my nose, and said 'ouch!' at my nosestud. i then showed her my tragus ring and let her tug on it. she was very gentle with it too.
her name was allegra which is the cutest name. bless her!

a happy day!
yep! i got a wonderful parcel from the divine roxy... ok...i am bad at linking. roxy is available at the harajukuroxy link to the side.
somehow, roxy knew that i was going to post an add to swap for 10mm circulars with... er... anything i could, ie. a thesis draft, or a chicken, or anything due to my poverty. roxy sent me a pair! or... are circular's pairs? who knows. and a whole PILE of magazines, and stickers, and Alll manner of excitement.
veritas is a happy elizabeth.
and also... i won Ali's 'pick my new name' thing on knitty coffeeshop and now get to pick a title for myself!!! that is terribly exciting! i sort of wanted to buy one, only have NOWHERE near enough money to contemplate it! yay! so i will be the hankie thief! soonish. when it is all cleared. you know. yay! yay!
oh, and i got a delicious muffin as well. and i normally hate muffins.
one observation. american fun fur is actually coool. this baffles me. australian fun fur is horrible. the cute fun fur roxy sent me is exciting! and i also know that on knitting a fun fur scarf, it will get a thousand times more excited comments than a complex lace shawl. te he.

what else can i do that is not my thesis
working three days a week is SLOWLY driving me insane.
i have an exercise plan.
i am cooking my own food.
i can barely afford said food due to the $80 per pay spend on therapy. (that is what i get back. each appointment is $140).
i actually cleaned the house.
i had a "feedback" session. aparently my sales are excellent, but patchy. maybe that's because sometimes the Store is busy? *sighs*
bla bla.
i would Care More if i got more than $300 a week. after rent = 150, therapy = 40, food = 80 or so... er... where can i find bill money? how the Hell am i suppose to support myself? ertg.
second job? oh yes. high tax.
oh well. charities should bring a Happy Joy Tax Return come next month. for once, my tax return will be done punctually.
er, that's right. thesis. right.

happy postal me
yes. my hand painted yarn is now called the halloween yarn. when i was winding it into a ball i went from loving it to falling in love with it.
seriously. i want to have that yarn's babies.
*cuddles yarn* *spiritually cuddles yarn as yarn is at home and i am at work*
and my stitch markers are hard at work. i took a photo, did not work out. too small stitchies to show up. and i though, i could keep trying, or use it! i needed to use it. i was a little overstimulated. i swapped over the stitch marker that consisted of an old piece of cotton tied around the needle, with a beautiful, new, secret-pal-aurora- stitch marker. oh it's lovely and useful and beautiful. oh how i love stitchmarkers.
gloves progressing well.
i need to update my sidebar.
i am wearing my jacket today, and i feel smug and proud.
as well, i bought a new dress at lifeline for $9. a lovely, nonsensical red velvet thing. and, i got a garter off a book. yes. a book came, with a garter - the red thing that goes on your upper thigh - tied around it. the manager looked at it in horror and ripped it off. i quickly snatched it and put it on.
it's tight. and i'm pretty small. this is not a garter for the average australian women. i told this to M, the manager. he responded with 'no, its a garter meant to go around a book.'
good point.

i am opening it as i write this! so far, i have amazingly wrapped in pirate paper gifts!!!!! pirate paper! how did you know my sad obession with pirates? and the pirate metal band that i am in. (ok. in being me and L and my cousin P and my sister talking about it and giving each other pirate names. the band's name is 'capt'n pirate and the scurvey dogs', and L is capt'n pirate, anita is 'nurse seaman' and so on...)
and.... a noddy egg-cup!!! wheee!
