i gave in, and started knitting a sock. and yes, yes i understand now this craze and insanity over sock knitting. lacy. red. socks. god yeah. i feel complete. with socks.

worked out what i am doing with uni which is good. less good is the scaryness of the syllabus - information architecture? systems architecture? ergh. yeah. i have my unit outlines, i feel ready to Hit the Books.

have read another book in my aim to Read Ten. ok. didn't finish it - 'memories of my melancholy whores' - because i hated it. it was boring, the writing didn't interest me, the story didn't interest me, the subject matter didn't interest me. so i made it halfway through. that was good. am now reading a great proof from work of some german book that outsold harry potter, and the divinci code last year. go the germans. go fantastic german book.

my skin is gross, and lachlan is talking about eating brain. this is making me shudder.
and his art, which is reinvigorating him deeply at the moment. he will soon be making spectacularily exciting things once more. the things that he is interested in are so much more interesting than what i am.

watched 'spinal tap' ... and 'saved' ... emily adores 'saved' so we all merrily watched it. we are like a strange, special post-modern family unit in l's apartment.
6.
lifted brow photos are grouse. there is a very super spunky one of lachlan, and a special one of me drinking tea, and looking elogated.
7.
super-big music week - taste of tea, the necks, and a colaboration between the two. well, artists from the two. so that's three exciting things in a week. very jam-packed.
8.
rialto decibel choir played during the week. happyface. we missed the 'shiver like timber' launch, but i adore adore adore the choir-ettes far too much to miss their shows. (unless it's late at night, in the city, in fat louis and i can't be bothered and it's a friday, for god's sake, there are people everywhere.)
9.
23 year old girl sexually assulted in kelvin grove last sunday. this is just so sick, and angry making and vile, and out of control. and i'm not being paranoid. this is a rational response to the disproportinate number of attacks against women in brisbane at the moment.
10.
sock knitting has distracted me from everything else for the last few days.

You've caught the sock knitting bug have you? It must be really good if so many people are into it.
You've been busy! I think other people's things are so much more interesting because we are not as aware of the grunt work that goes into them.
Sockysock bug, eh? Me too.
