knitting content!

ok. i am still on the shawl with the cashmire. i am using the colourmart one, and it feels like heaven, so soft and light and angelic. i like wrapping the part i have knitted over my hands, and running it over my face. i ordered a cone of the silk as well, and if it goes well, i might do a bit of stocking up.

as a christmas present to Myself, i am going to get victorian lace today next month. or the month after. some time. i am excited because it is primarily rectangular shawls, rather than circular and triangular. i much prefer retangles, because they hold over your arms much better. and i like the shape. i want to practice more lace in order to be on target to start designing my own lace patterns in the new year. just small stuff at first, mind you....

i am irritated at the vogue stictionarys for their lack of charts. what is with that? why no charts? i Like charts. and they are a much easier way to read lace, quicker, simpler. at least have a small chart as well as the writing. it's confusing. i thought it was standard to chart lace. so i won't be getting them. i have a stictonary marked on amazon.com that i want to get in the next year or so.

i also need to prioritise my spending for the next year. see, i am going to go back to study in march, starting my masters in library and information management - i need to find out what university i want to do it through, because i want to go external and maybe one subject, or two a semester. i want to ease myself back into study. sloooowly. but, i also want to keep working on my practice, and thus, my knitting. i really need to keep in mind where my passions and interest are. which are with fibre, and drawing. yeah, i love paintings. i also like paint. however, i Don't like actually paiting all that much, and i am not all that good at it either. however, i am good at knitting, not exceptional by my knittystandards, but by your average joe on the street, i am good. i'm thinking, but not too much.

in other news, work is evil today. lots of angry people calling up. volunteer down time is soothing me.
oshin is my new pet resturant, as is the kwan yin tea house.
am still forgetting to pay electricity bill. Need To Do It Today.
sai is still my happy udon place. wish it has soba though.

i am up to s- in my teach-myself-kana stage. drew and i are doing it together.

i met up with inger from school last night, tremendously fun. we are polar opposites and it's bizarre we are friends. bizarre in a great way though. and i am Hanging with brentasaurus on thur. night, and nikhi on friday. Social Me.
